    El autor (es) manifiesta (mos) que el contenido del manuscrito citado no ha sido publicado previamente y, que no se presentará a ningún otro medio de publicación en soporte escrito o electrónico antes de conocer la decisión del Comité Editorial de Cuadernos de Administración. Iniciado el proceso de evaluación, para selección de publicación, los autores nos comprometemos a no retirarlo y a no enviarlo a otra revista hasta no terminar el proceso. Después de la evaluación y de recibir los comentarios de los árbitros, los autores corregiremos el artículo y lo remitiremos de nuevo a la revista para su aceptación.

    El autor garantiza que el compromiso que aquí adquiere no infringe ningún derecho de terceros, ya sean de propiedad industrial o derecho de autor, o cualquier otro y garantiza asimismo que el contenido de las obras no atenta contra los derechos al honor, a la intimidad y a la imagen de terceros.

    AUTORIZO (AMOS) a la Universidad del Valle, de forma gratuita, por el máximo plazo legal y con ámbito universal, para que pueda utilizar -de forma libre y gratuita- los derechos de reproducción, distribución, comunicación pública, incluido el derecho de puesta a disposición electrónica, y transformación sobre la obra indicada, en la revista Cuadernos de Administración.

    La Universidad del Valle no adquiere titularidad de derechos morales sobre la obra, que siguen correspondiendo al autor. Sin embargo, esta autorización permitirá su E-Archivo para:

    (a) Transformarla, en la medida en que ello sea necesario, para adaptarla a cualquier tecnología susceptible de incorporación a Internet; realizar las adaptaciones necesarias para hacer posible la utilización de la obra en formatos electrónicos, así como incorporar los metadatos necesarios para realizar el registro de la obra, e incorporar también “marcas de agua” o cualquier otro sistema de seguridad o de protección.

    (b) Reproducirla en un soporte digital para su incorporación a una base de datos electrónica, incluyendo el derecho de reproducir y almacenar la obra en servidores a los efectos de seguridad, de conservación, y de preservación del formato.

    (c) Distribuir a los usuarios copias electrónicas de la obra en un soporte digital.

    (d) Su comunicación pública y su puesta a disposición a través de un archivo abierto institucional, accesible de modo libre y gratuito a través de Internet.

    El autor (es), como garante de la autoría de las obras, asume toda reclamación o responsabilidad, incluyendo las indemnizaciones por daños, que pudieran ejercitarse contra la Universidad del Valle por terceros que vieran infringidos sus derechos e intereses a causa de la cesión.

    La obra se pondrá a disposición de los usuarios para que hagan de ella un uso honrado con los derechos del autor, según lo permitido por la legislación aplicable, sea con fines de estudio, investigación, o cualquier otro fin lícito, de modo que las obras puedan ser distribuidas, copiadas y exhibidas siempre que se cite su autoría, no se obtenga beneficio comercial, y no se realicen obras derivadas.

    Minimum 20 pages and maximum 25, including bibliographic references.

    The titles and subtitles start with a capital letter and are consecutively numbered. Arial 12 points for text, titles and subtitles; Arial 10 points for appointments footnotes and sources of tables, graphs and figures.

  • 4. Tables, charts, graphics, and figures

    These are cited within the text and are numbered consecutively for each type; specify the title and the source of elaboration by following the citation standard in the American Psychological Association’s sixth version (APA 6th version). In case these were elaborated by the authors, the same rules apply.

  • 5. Bibliographic references

    For the sources, use the APA Standards, 6th version.

  • 6. Order of the manuscript

    1. Title.

    2. Abstract.

    3. Key words in original language with English or Spanish translation, accordingly.

    4. Body of the text.

    5. Tables, charts, graphics, and figures go at the end with their respective citation within the text.

Cuadernos de Administración publishes original and unpublished scientific papers, i.e., those that have not been previously published in any printed, electronic or digital media (other journals, conference proceedings, web portals, CD-ROMs) and that have not been submitted to another journal. The author will certify, in written communication, the originality and ownership of the manuscript (download letter of originality and letter of assignment of copyright).

Manuscripts are accepted for final publication after a rigorous review process of academic quality and relevance, according to the evaluation of referees who are external to this magazine. There will be received and will be subject to evaluation only those manuscripts received in the Open Journal System platform: http://cuadernosdeadministracion.univalle.edu.co/

Paragraph: Manuscripts sent outside the period of the call will be rejected.

If in a same call, two or more manuscripts with the same author(s) are received, take into account that only one will be published, should they meet the technical requirements of publication; selection will depend on the assessment by members of the Editorial Committee. In the case of researchers who have participated as authors of a manuscript published in the magazine and who wish to submit another manuscript to a new call, they may only do this if it has elapsed at least one year since the last publication, or the equivalent of three editions.

1. Technical requirements Manuscript

1.5. Extension of the document. Minimum 20 and maximum 25 pages, including references.

1.2. Spacing and margins. Paragraphs with one and a half line spacing (1.5 lines) and margins of 3 cm on all sides.

1.3. Type and font size. The titles and subtitles start with a capital letter and are consecutively numbered. Arial 12 points for text, titles and subtitles; Arial 10 points for appointments footnotes and sources of tables, graphs and figures.

1.4. Tables, graphs and figures. They are cited in the text with consecutive numbering for each type; specify the title and source of development following the standard citation in APA 6th version (American Psychological Association). Should they be prepared by the authors, the same rule is followed.

1.5. References and citations. For the sources, use the APA Standards, 6th version. (See guide to use here).

2. Order of the manuscript

a. Head of the document: title, abstract and keywords in the original language and the English translation, or in Spanish (palabras clave) as appropriate.

b. Body text.

c. Tables, graphs and figures go at the end with their respective quotation within the text.

d. Annexes

e. References in alphabetical order.

2.1. Document head

a. The title should be precise, consistent with the content of the work; try to not exceed 12 words. Whenever possible, the title should not use abbreviations or acronyms. Include in the original language, and translated into English or Spanish (as applicable).

b. Authors’ Information. Include the full first name, the initial letter of the middle name, and the last name(s) of each author. In a footnote on the first page with an asterisk, the first author, double asterisk for the second one, and so on. Add the main data of each author in the following order:

b1. Title, department, faculty, university, city and country.

b2. Undergraduate academic degree and final degree obtained, which must contain the name of the institution, city and country.

b3. Name of the research group, category by Colciencias (if applicable), institution, city and country.

b4. Institutional e-mail.

c. Executive Summary. It explains the development of the manuscript in its subject, detailing the background, methodology, consequences and results. It is a summarized analysis of the concepts, approaches and basic ideas, following the structure of the original text, highlighting its essential elements and keeping the main idea. It must have at least 150 words and a maximum of 250, with English translation (Abstract).

d. Keywords. They are those words that identify the subject developed in the manuscript, listed in the original language, with translation into English or Spanish (as appropriate). There should be at least four, and a maximum of seven, separated by commas.

2.2. Main text of the manuscript

Stylish wording is recommended, written in third person; observe the general spelling rules and the tilde for words in capital letters (in Spanish); expressions in another language or foreign words must be written in italics (e.g., ad honorem). The body of the manuscript should compulsorily comply with the sections established for each modality, as explained below:

a. Introduction. Here, the purpose will be established; and it will be conducted, in summary form, a justification of the study. In this section only the strictly necessary references will be included, and no data or conclusions will be introduced.

b. Results. Here are presented the results of the study in a supported way, with tables, graphs and figures in a logical sequence. Avoid, in the body text, the reiteration of data already represented in tables, figures and graphs.

c. Tables. They must be submitted in the original program; consecutively numbered in the order of their first citation in the text; the short title; precise explanations may be included in footnotes identified with consecutive numbers, not in the header. In these notes, the nonstandard abbreviations used in each table will be specified; each table must be cited in the text; for published data or for data coming from another source, it is necessary the authorization to reproduce them. If the table has already been published, cite the original source and submit the written permission from the owner of the copyright to reproduce the material. This authorization is necessary, regardless of whom the author or publisher is; it is established as an exception to copyright when the information is taken from public documents, but the original author must always be cited.

d. Figures and graphs. They will be drawn from professional and clearly to avoid problems of understanding at the time of publishing. Letters, numbers and symbols will be clear and uniform in all illustrations; also they have enough to keep them readable feel after the necessary size reduction for publication. Titles and detailed explanations will be included in the legends of the illustrations and not in them. Figures and graphs are numbered consecutively according to its first mention in the text; if the figure has already been published, cite the original source and submit written permission from the owner of the copyright to reproduce the material. This authorization is necessary, indispensable whoever the author or publisher, is established as an exception to copyright when taken from public documents, but you should always give the original author. The maximum number of tables, figures, graphs should not exceed two per sheet in the presentation of results.

e. Discussion. New and important aspects of the study and conclusions arising from them are recorded in the body of the work. It should not repeat in detail data or other information already included in the introduction and results sections. Explain the significance of the results, the study's limitations, as well as its values and usefulness for future research. The observations will be compared with those of other relevant studies.

f. Conclusions. They should be related to the objectives; avoid statements and conclusions that are not proven, or that are poorly substantiated by current data. Unfinished works will not be cited. New hypotheses can be proposed when warranted, but they should be clearly identified as such. Recommendations may be included when appropriate.

g. Abbreviations. Use only standard abbreviations; avoid abbreviations in the title and the summary. When an abbreviation is used in the text for the first time, it will be preceded by the full term, except if it is a standard unit of measurement.

f. Bibliographic quotes. They must be identified in the text, for both manuscripts and books; they will be made by using parentheses, following the APA (American Psychological Association) rules, 6th edition, as it is explained in the section 7.1 of this guide.

2.3. References

All manuscripts must follow the APA Standards, 6th edition version. They will be included at the end of the document in alphabetical order without numbering, and with hanging indent, listing only the authors cited in the text. When it is necessary to include multiple articles from the same author, they must be written according to the publication year, from the oldest to the most recent. Also, each reference must contain the URL or DOI.
