The Tourism Destination Life Cycle Model (TDLCM) has been widely used to analyze the evolution of tourism destinations based on demand. However, the expansion of accommodation platforms such as Airbnb introduces new variables for its interpretation. This study examines the relationship between the time elapsed since a destination was designated a Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) and the growth of accommodation supply on Airbnb. A quantitative and correlational approach was adopted using secondary data from AirDNA corresponding to 177 Pueblos Mágicos in Mexico. Correlation coefficients and hypothesis testing were employed to analyze the data. The results reveal a significant relationship between the two variables, suggesting that the supply offered through digital platforms may constitute a complementary indicator for analyzing the life cycle of tourism destinations.
